Why Coaching?

In Coaching, we believe the client is capable of change and has the ability to move forward to a bright and empowered future. This differs from most therapy approaches, which rely on a “medical” or “disease model” and seek to diagnose a problem with the client.

We do not focus on the past. Instead, we assess the situation for what it is and work together to find the best way forward, utilizing tools and methodologies that help the client use their strengths and cultivate new ones to surmount the obstacles we all face in the course of our lives.

I firmly believe in the coaching principle that we are all capable of finding the answers. Sometimes we just need help uncovering it or believing we can get there. Often it’s a matter of changing our mindset and seeing the options that are already present in our lives.
